THOUGHT OF THE DAY

July 13,2020

• Lord Send me.

*Jonah: Here Am I – I will not go.
Jonah 1:3 AMP
[3] But Jonah ran away to Tarshish to escape from the presence of the LORD [and his duty as His prophet]. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish [the most remote of the Phoenician trading cities]. So he paid the fare and went down into the ship to go with them to Tarshish away from the presence of the LORD.

*Moses: Here Am I – Send Someone Else.
Exodus 3:4,10-11 AMP
[4] When the LORD saw that he turned away [from the flock] to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” [10] Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, and then bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” [11] But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
Exodus 4:10,13-15 AMP
[10] Then Moses said to the LORD, “Please, Lord, I am not a man of words (eloquent, fluent), neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and tongue.” [13] But he said, “Please my Lord, send the message [of rescue to Israel] by [someone else,] whomever else You will [choose].” [14] Then the anger of the LORD was kindled and burned against Moses; He said, “Is there not your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know that he speaks fluently. Also, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be overjoyed. [15] You must speak to him and put the words in his mouth; I, even I, will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you are to do.

*Isaiah: Here Am I – Send Me.
Isaiah 6:8 AMP
[8] Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

• What are some of the things we need in our lives to FULLY SURRENDER to God?

*A GENUINE Experience with the PRESENCE of God.
Isaiah 6:1-4 AMP
[1] In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw [in a vision] the Lord sitting on a throne, high and exalted, with the train of His royal robe filling the [most holy part of the] temple. [2] Above Him seraphim (heavenly beings) stood; each one had six wings: with two wings he covered his face, with two wings he covered his feet, and with two wings he flew. [3] And one called out to another, saying, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is filled with His glory.” [4] And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, and the temple was filling with smoke.

Matthew 11:27-30 AMP
[27] All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one fully knows and accurately understands the Son except the Father; and no one fully knows and accurately understands the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son [deliberately] wills to reveal Him. [28] “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. [29] Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST (renewal, blessed quiet) FOR YOUR SOULS. [30] For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.”

*A GENUINE AWARENESS of our Sinfulness.
Isaiah 6:5 AMP
[5] Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am ruined, Because I am a man of [ceremonially] unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.”

Romans 3:21-23 AMP
[21] But now the righteousness of God has been clearly revealed [independently and completely] apart from the Law, though it is [actually] confirmed by the Law and the [words and writings of the] Prophets. [22] This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believe [and trust in Him and acknowledge Him as God’s Son]. There is no distinction, [23] since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God,

*A GENUINE understanding of God’s GRACE.
Isaiah 6:6-7 AMP
[6] Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. [7] He touched my mouth with it and said, “Listen carefully, this has touched your lips; your wickedness [your sin, your injustice, your wrongdoing] is taken away and your sin atoned for and forgiven.”

Romans 3:24 AMP
[24] and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,
~ 24 I.e. His favor and mercy, extended to man who can do nothing to be worthy of it. It is God’s amazing gift.~

Psalm 143:8 AMP
[8] Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For I trust in You. Teach me the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.

Proverbs 16:18-19 AMP
[18] Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. [19] It is better to be humble in spirit with the lowly Than to divide the spoil with the proud (haughty, arrogant).

Proverbs 18:12 AMP
[12] Before disaster the heart of a man is haughty and filled with self-importance, But humility comes before honor.

Zephaniah 3:11 AMP
[11] “On that day you [Israel] will feel no shame Because of all your acts By which you have rebelled and sinned against Me; Then I will remove from among you Your rejoicing ones who delight in their pride; And you will never again behave arrogantly On My holy mountain [Mount Zion].

Matthew 18:2-4 AMP
[2] He called a little child and set him before them, [3] and said, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent [that is, change your inner self-your old way of thinking, live changed lives] and become like children [trusting, humble, and forgiving], you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. [4] Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
* 4 I.e. turns his back on self-righteous pride and adopts a realistic self-view.*

James 4:10 AMP
[10] Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose].

1 Peter 5:6 AMP
[6] Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time,

• Break me Lord. Cause me to be humble in Your presence!
