THOUGHT OF THE DAY
July 10,2020
Isaiah 55:8-11 AMP
[8] “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. [9] “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts higher than your thoughts. [10] “For as the rain and snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth, Making it bear and sprout, And providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater, [11] So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me void (useless, without result), Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
John 1:2-3 AMP
[2] He was [continually existing] in the beginning [co-eternally] with God. [3] All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being.
John 14:1,6-12 AMP
[1] “Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me.
[6] Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. [7] If you had [really] known Me, you would also have known My Father. From now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” [8] Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father and then we will be satisfied.” [9] Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you for so long a time, and you do not know Me yet, Philip, nor recognize clearly who I am? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father?’ [10] Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you I do not say on My own initiative or authority, but the Father, abiding continually in Me, does His works [His attesting miracles and acts of power]. [11] Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe [Me] because of the [very] works themselves [which you have witnessed]. [12] I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father.
1 Corinthians 13:12 AMP
[12] For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God].
• Reality is made up of mostly what we can NOT see. Do not RELY on the naked eye, RELY on God through Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord through the Holy Spirit.
