HUMILITY (PRIDE)

MICAH 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to live mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Psalm 25:9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.

1 Peter 5:5,6 Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. ” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Luke 18:14 Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

WORLDLINESS

1John 2:15,16 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world–the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does–comes not from the Father but from the world.

Colossians 3:5.8,9 Put to death whatever belongs to your earthly nature; sexual immorality, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry………Rid yourselves of all such things as these; anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off you old self with its practices.

Galatians 5:24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

GODLINESS (RIGHTEOUSNESS)

Galatians 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.

Ephesians 4: 22-24 You were taught…. to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

1 Peter 1:15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.
