REVENGE
ROMANS 12:19-21 – Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge: I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him, if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals om his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
ROMANS 12:14- Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse.
MATTHEW 5:43,44- You heard that it was said, “Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.” But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
LUKE 6:31- Do to others as you would have then do to you.
ANGER
1 TIMOTHY 2:8- I want men everywhere to lift up the holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.
JAMES 1:19,20- My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
PSALM 37:8- Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret–it leads only to evil.
PROVERBS 15:1- A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
EPHESIANS 4:26- Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.
GALATIANS 5:19,20-The acts of the sinful nature are… hatred, discord, jealousy, fits and rage….
HATRED (STRIFE)
1 JOHN 4:20- If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, his a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
PROVERBS 10:12 Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.
PEACE
ROMANS 12:18- If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
ROMANS 14:19- Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
