Grace Teaches Us To Say No!!

Romans 1:18
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against
all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who hold the truth in unrighteousness”

Grace first teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions. Ungodliness is equal to wickedness, and it basically comprises and disregards God, by ignoring Him, or not taking Him into account in our lives. It is a lack of fear and reverence for Him. The wickedness portrayed by Paul in Romans 1:18-32 all starts with the idea that although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God or give thanks to Him.  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened,” (Rom. 1:21).
My Friends, When we trust in Christ as our Saviour, we bring with us a habit of ungodliness into our Christian lives. Why would we do that, because we were accustomed to living without regard for God. As unbelievers, we did not care for His will or His glory. Basically ,we ignored Him. But now that we have been delivered from sin the dominion of sin and brought under the reign of grace, grace teaches us to renounce this attitude as well as actions of ungodliness. We all know that God’s training don’t happen all at once. In fact, God will be rooting out ungodliness from our lives as long as we live on the earth.
Amen!
