So many people today read terrifying stories about the Book of Revelation, when in reality, there are actually more stories of hope and joy there than in other books in the Bible. These short 12 verses are just a few of the many in Revelations that tell of ultimate joy and hope for the future of mankind.  If more people would read from the beginning of the New Testament, then they would understand more when they get to the Book of Revelations. I always ask people how often do they pick up a book and start with the last chapter first.  When they tell me that they don’t, I then ask them why in the world would you try to read the most important book of your life from back to front.  It doesn’t make sense to me!

Tonight in 12 short verses, we found that the story of hope and salvation is in Revelations just the same as it is in all the other Books in the Bible.  Yes, there are scary things in Revelations, but if you would start at the beginning of the Bible, then they would not seem so scary.  I encourage you all to do just that!  God bless you all and we hope you will join us on Wednesday night for Bible Study as we learn more about Loving Each Other.

Nov 16, 2016 – It’s all about forgiveness.  Some popular opinions are that it is okay to forgive but not forget or that some things are not forgivable.  We discussed Bible verses and personal opinions and thoughts on the matter.  It is good to discuss these things and how we as humans are not perfect.  Our perfect example is Jesus and His forgiveness of the sinners He encountered in His daily walk on this Earth.  We have several stories reported in the New Testament to see that forgiveness was taught and practiced.  I encourage each and every one of you to remember that forgiveness is more about your heart and soul than the hate or anger you have towards another of God’s creations.  Pray to view other’s as God sees them and as He sees you.

Here is the recording of tonight’s Bible Study class.  We had a  brief statement from Pastor Bob about the national and state elections held last night. No matter who wins, there will always be some unhappy that their candidate did not win.  This was an unusually large voter turnout and a very historical one.  For the past year, we have all grown exhausted and inflamed at times over the media sharing of damaging traits or policies or past indiscretions and character flaws of various candidates.  The old saying holds true that you can please all of the people some of the the time and some of the people all of the time, but not all of the people all of the time.  Having said that, here are the scriptures he referenced as well as a link for the recording just in case you missed it or would like to listen again or share.  Thank you all and may God bless America!

Computers,televisions, radios, buy my magazine, no you need to buy my magazine, my brother’s girlfriend’s cousin, my sister’s new husband’s cousin’s wife, watch this crazy you tube video I just found discussing the book of revelations from the bible, it explains everything in revelations. Look at this new medical video that I found online, now I don’t ever have to go to the doctor ever again!

We are truly swamped with data and information( which are both the same thing). We are always being asked to watch this or read this and all your problems go away. Just pay this small fee or buy this phone or this computer. The trouble with all this data is that so much of it is wrong information put out by people who are just good at creating sensational fictional stories. According to the American Medical Association over sixty percent of the medical and medicine information that is published each year is wrong. In other words you have a better chance of killing or maiming yourself than even remotely helping yourself at all by going online to diagnose and treat yourself medically.

I would guess that knowing this, you would not want to go online to diagnose yourself or your family medically. I am constantly amazed at how many people go online to diagnose the condition of their soul, which is much more important than their everyday health! I endeavor to watch online videos on a somewhat regular basis simply so I don’t get blind sided by way far out questions that people bring to  myself and other pastors and leaders. Pastors and other Church Leaders discuss this all the time. In fact it sometimes it takes up so much of our time that we can’t get to other duties that we are tasked with.
