Why not just listen to God!

In life, God gives us all free will, which can lead to good or bad choices. In Hebrews 12:5-7(NIV) scripture says “My Son, do not make light of the Lord,s discipline and do not lose heart when he rebukes you. . In 2 Corinthians 10 because the Lord disciplines those he loves and punishes everyone he accepts as a son. Acts 9 is a great chapter that explains why we should listen to God. I do not want to spoil your reading, but Apostle Paul, also known as Saul was on a rampage to kill anyone who believed in Christ. As he travels the road to Damascus, Paul becomes converted.

You see, God disciplines and punishes his children according to his own will and way. If you are still not convinced, read Hebrews 12. In 2 Corinthians 10, written by Apostle Paul, it conveys a type of sorrow that God wants for us that leads to salvation and how there are no regrets for that kind of sorrow! In addition to Romans 6( also written by Paul), expresses in great detail on how sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the  Law. Paul is not sating it is a free ticket to sin, he goes on and says you become a slave to whatever you choose to obey! You can be a slave to Sin which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God,which leads to righteous living and eternal life.
