AWESOME WEDNESDAY SERVICE

AWESOME WEDNESDAY SERVICE

Last night I (as pastor of this ministry) was treated to the most wonderful blessing that any pastor could hope for. We had our first open, inclusive bible study session. By this I mean we don’t have deacons and elders, this bible study was our members getting together and discussing bible topics as a group. Everyone put in their thoughts and questions and discussed together and helped each other as a group.

What I mean when I say that it  is a blessing for this pastor is that most churches and ministries have deacons and elders teaching and leading the members. Here God has blessed this ministry in such a way that all of our members work together and reach out and help each other. Any number of our members can lead these services. Last night I heard  each  member of our church family bring up and discuss topics that we have covered in our sunday services over the years.

At the same time several of our members are helping other people in the background who are going through tough times in their private lives. God is awesome!! At the same time our church members are out their spreading God’s love witnessing to people all over america and beyond. Some people are shocked when our members explain that yes, we would like for you to come into our services and worship with us. But, at least get into a Bible based church somewhere. Somewhere you can meet with other Christians and boost each other up like Christ directed us to during his Last Supper.

You are always invited to join us live and participate in a live service with us on wednesday evening at 8pm eastern time by simply dialing 712 432 3900 and enter conference number 383420#. you are also invited to join us sunday evening at 8pm eastern time by dialing the same phone number 712 432 3900 and enter conference number 431167#. May God Bless You All

PEOPLE WHO WORK IN THE SHADOW OF OTHERS

We are always taught about the same heroes in our Bible like Moses, Samson, Noah and so many others; and these stories inspire us as they should. When I look out from the pulpit and see who is sitting in the crowd  on any given Sunday, I see average normal people just like you and I, trying to learn and find their place in God’s enormous picture.

Tonight, I want to talk about people just like these, people in the background, people that most teachers never teach about. In fact, these people that I will be talking about tonight are mentioned  in maybe one verse or sometimes in only two or three verses. I find that many teachers don’t even know about them or maybe just don’t think of teaching about them, because so little is known about these background workers in our Bible. I am referring to people like Bezalel in Exodus or maybe Tertius in the book of Romans or even Rahab the prostitute who hid the Israelite spies. How about the man that provided the upper room for Christ’s last supper; did you know that he continued to provide space for the disciples after the crucifixion and resurection?

You see, for every story, there are many people in the background making that story happen. It is like you going somewhere to see a famous play. You couldn’t see the play without people to open and close the curtains, run the lights and sound, and do not forget that someone had to write the play. Often in church, we simply retell the main points of stories in the Bible. We tell about the bigger than life heroes and the life impacting stories, and forget to tell about the smaller stories of lesser known heroes.  Is it possible that often people quit going to church or they just lose interest, because they just can’t see themselves being called to be that bigger than life hero? Tonight, we will be learning about some of these stories in our Bible that make those lesser known heroes become bigger than life as well … people who contribute just as much as those better known heroes but are rarely seen by the crowds … people who are just as important to Jesus as the better recognized names. If you are ready to hear more, please feel free to join us.

You are always welcome to join us for our live service tonight and every Sunday night at 8pm Eastern time by simply dialing 712 432 3900 and when prompted enter 431167#. If you are unable to join at that time, call 712 432 3903, using the same code 431167# and you will hear the recording from the Sunday night lesson which remains available 24/7 all week until the next Sunday is recorded.  May God Bless You All.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

In Second Timothy Chapter  Four we are told that there will come a time when men turn away from God’s True Word and seek out those who only teach mankind what they want to hear. In other words, These people only want to hear what makes them feel good and is very easy to follow. They surround themselves with Preachers and Teachers that twist and change God’s word and don’t teach all of God’s word. The teachers get to a point where they only worry about numbers of people showing up to each service.

If these people were reading God’s word as it has been written they would be more concerned about how much a person’s life has been changed and improved after hearing and learning God’s word. First Timothy Chapter Four Verse Four says that all God Inspired scripture is good for teaching. If this is true then why do people choose to teach only the easy parts or as some call it THE GOOD PARTS of our BIBLE?

It comes back to each of us being responsible for our own individual souls. We must choose to accept all of God’s word or none of it.Sadly many people tell themselves that they don’t have time to do the other things that scripture requires us to do. Their life becomes too busy or complicated for God,so they  tell themselves things like if they at least listen only to the good and uplifting parts that they will still get to heaven. I pray for these people all the time.

Tonight at 8pm eastern time we will be going into more depth on this very subject.  If you would like to join us from wherever you might be at that time, all you need to do is pick up your telephone and dial 712 432 3900 and when prompted put in conference number 431167#. You will be in live church with other folks just like your self. You can simply listen in and you can also speak up and join in. If you miss our live service then you  call anytime day or night to 712 432 3903 and when prompted enter conference number 431167# and listen to the latest recording. We hope to meet all of you there. May God Bless You All.

Keep Faith In God

This old preacher has been brought to his knees yet again by the awesomeness of God. I once heard a local preacher joke that he believed God blessed a person with a pastorate because God is upset with that person. He said this because being a Pastor of a church can sometimes be the most challenging role a person ever undertakes in their life. When God calls you to be a Pastor, you truly learn what it means to give your heart and soul to God.

Sometimes people in your congregation ask you how  you learned to explain things so well, and what it means to dedicate your entire being to God.  When you are a Pastor, everything besides God’s mission for you and the ministry that he has called you for, takes second place.

I have been blessed to have been called by God many years ago to  start up a small ministry for and by truck drivers, because it is terribly challenging to park a sixty foot long vehicle in most church parking lots or even to stop at a certain time and place during delivery runs.  We have never been what some call a large group at any one time; however, many people have come and gone over the many years that we have been meeting together. When we started, we were on a C.B. radio, then in a telephone chat room; and we still are there. People said that it would never work either on the radio or on the phone. God said  that we should have faith in Him. After all, it is His ministry.

God said don’t divide up over small stuff, and welcome everyone like Jesus did. Love everyone and have patience; after all everything happens in God’s time, not ours. Let me tell you, it has taken a lot of faith and patience. It took a lot of reading Bible stories about people like Noah who built a big boat  while all the people told him it would never float!  We read stories about how God pulled Moses back from out of the wilderness and used him to save God’s chosen people. These are just to name a few inspiring stories. Oftentimes, when this ministry was just my wife and I and God, as a human I would ask God if I was doing something wrong? Each time God would say, “Keep the Faith”. In His time, He will shine through this little ministry. I would visit other churches, both big and small, and again I would ask God, am I doing something wrong? You see, a Pastor is after all just a human too, just like each of you. Each time God would say, “Be patient, and keep the Faith”.

Well, this old Pastor is here to tell you,  God has kept His Promise. God has taught me over the years that it is not how many people attend any church, but how they change their lives after they have attended and if they keep coming back for more. As one of our members told me this morning, “Pastor Bob, because of your faith in God and patience and hard work, you are now surrounded by a group 0f strong Christian people”.  These strong Christian people are now taking the ball and running with it. They are taking God’s Word out into the world and witnessing to people and helping those people to change their lives and to accept Jesus Christ as Lord. They are are about to add a Wednesday night Bible study to our ministry. God is Awesome!!

Whenever you think life is too hard, or maybe God is putting too much on your plate… Look Up! God is there. He asks us to be faithful, to keep moving forward. God has a purpose for calling you to do something; and always remember, HE NEVER CALLS THE QUALIFIED, HE QUALIFIES THE CALLED.

If you would ever like to join our little ministry in worshiping God, all you need to do is pick up your telephone at 8pm Eastern Time and dial 712 432 3900, and when prompted just put in conference number 431167#. You will be in a live service with us. You can just listen or you can speak up and join in with us. We record each service and make it available 24/7 by calling 712 432 3903, enter conference code 431167# to hear the current week’s service.  Until then May God Bless You All.

I AM A CHAMPION

How many Christians can really say that They Are A Champion? I often am asked that question. I usually respond with my own question,”Are You a Champion”? I ask, are you a champion in your own home? Does your family see you as a champion? Do they see you taking time out of your so very busy schedule on a daily basis to truly spend quality time with each one of them? I did not sat quantity of time, I said QUALITY TIME.

Do you block out the world and center, for just a few minutes, on them? Do you take time to hold them in your arms and love them? Do you teach them how much God loves all of us ? Do you tell them that when God made all of us He did not make us to be silent? God sent His Son to speak up for us. Jesus most often seemed to upset the apple cart! In other words, people had become complacent. Whether they knew if their worship ways were right or wrong, at least there was consistency. It was easy to just follow along. Then here came Jesus and challenged everything. Jesus was a Champion for Us then and He Still is!

We are supposed to follow his examples and speak up for God. If you would like to hear and learn more you can join us tonight at 8pm Eastern time in the USA. Simply telephone 712 432 3900 and when prompted just enter conference number 431167#. You will be in a live church service, and not just listening, because you can participate. If you cannot make it to our Live Service you can always listen to our Recorded Service any time 24 hours a day by calling 712 432 3903 and entering conference number 431167#. May God Bless You All.
