On this Glorious day we Celebrate The Rising of Our Lord from the Grave.

So many times when I am studying the scriptures in Our Bible with folks, Especially if they are parents themselves, I ask them How much would you have to like me or love me to give up your only child for me? After giving the person a few seconds for that thought to sink in, I say now you understand How Much God Loves You.

After this point I normally have their undivided attention and can then go on to teach them about the Miraculous Life, Death and Rising From The Grave of Our Lord and Savior.

I so look forward to Each Easter Service not just because of what it stands for but more people want to learn about and be close to Our Risen Lord than any other time of the year other than Christmas Time.

Today symbolizes the end of winter and the beginning of spring. The end of the darker times of the year and the new fresh beginning and I cant think of any better time to accept Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Out with the old dark times and in with your New Life With Christ!!!! If you have wandered away from Jesus, then what better way to say that you appreciate all that he has done and is doing for us that to recommit your life to Him today.

You are always welcome to join us for our live Easter Service tonight at 8pm eastern time in the U.S.A. by simply telephoning 712 432 3900. when prompted simply press 431167#. You will be joining LIVE in a LIVE Easter Service. You can talk, pray and interact in every way, not just listening.

What is Traveling 4 Christ Ministry

We started over 14 years ago on the c.b. radio from the cab of an 18 wheeler traveling 48 states and Canada. We started this Ministry because truck drivers typically cannot pull their Big Rigs into most church parking lots to attend services. After a while a friend taught us about live phone chat rooms. We acquired one of these and then people from anywhere could call in and attend Live Church Services. God has been blessing this ministry, coming up in April for 14 years.

Many have come and then moved on to other places. Some starting successful Ministries themselves.Although we started this Ministry primarily for and by truck drivers, over the years This Ministry has Grown to include people from all walks of life. We never intended to be the Primary Home Church for Anyone( we always encourage people to attend a conventional local church whenever possible). We have been blessed to have some members worshiping with us from the very beginning, 14 years ago. We have some members who not only worship with us but also attend their home church regularily as well.

A little about us, we are a notdenominational, I did not say non denominational church as so many churches misuse that name. We welcome worshippers who name Jesus Christ as lord. We are an outreach church, carrying Christ to the world.

Our church is exciting, challenging, and provocative! We are a word church,a Worship Church, a Missionary Church but above all we are A Part of God’s Church!!!We are Baptist because we Baptize. We are Presbyterian church as we have God Called Preachers,We are Pentecostal as we  experience The Holy Spirit daily. We are Quakers and sometimes Shakers because at times The Holy Spirit has shaken us right out of our Spiritual complacency!! But most of all we study how God’s word is relevant today.

Traveling 4 Christ Church is different people with different backgrounds using different gifts at different places to meet different needs, all for God’s Glory!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to learn more about Our Lord Jesus Christ, you can join us by calling in live at 8pm eastern time in the U.S. on Sunday Evenings at 712 432 3900 conference number 431167#. All are always welcome

Random Thoughts

As a over the road driver I have more than enough time to think about things. Sometimes I have too much time to think. I also listen to satellite radio. One of the channels has a saying that I am going to borrow for this entry. The saying goes, “It’s just a thought, not a sermon.” Here are some thoughts that I have had and continue to ponder upon.

These trucks that pass by me while traveling down the road that have scriptures on them or that have a bible verse on them. Are these drivers or companies Christians? Or are they just jumping on the band wagon of Christianity because it seems to be the cool thing to do right now? Do they actually understand the scripture or verse they are advertising? Is it an actual attempt to get someone that notices it to actually pull out their Bible and look up the verse? If I were to walk up to that driver and ask him about it would he be able to talk about the scripture? Just questions I ask myself about that.

Something I still find amazing, The Living Word of God. I reference the Bible. I have read the Bible cover to cover numerous times. I feel confident in my knowledge of the word. What still amazes me is that after I have read a selection in scripture and come back to it later on. It has changed. Now this is MY bible. It is with me 24/7. No one else has access to it at all. But when I go back and read it it has changed. I get a totally different take on the scripture. It is like someone went in and rewrote it with out me knowing. I know no one actually has, I know the words are the exact same, but it hits me differently and to me it like a whole new reading of scripture. It show me that the Word IS alive and relevant in my life.

Don’t forget to join us live on Sunday evenings, 8 eastern/7 central. Just call 712-432-3900,

“You Know Better Than That”

Wednesday Bible study
Sept. 10,2014

When was the last time we heard someone say to in disappointment “You know better than that.”? And how many times a day do we give our God a reason to say it?
There are times when we as our God’s children that make mistakes. However when this happens it not the end of the matter. God is a very forgiving parent when we repent and ask forgiveness for these mistakes. He also provides the means to keep them from happening. In 2 Peter 1:3-11 we find some guides and principles to apply to our lives that will keep us from making these mistakes over and over again.
Call into the conference at 8:00pm eastern to learn more.
Phone number (712) 432-3900 and enter conference ID number 431167. Looking forward to you being there.

Created in Gods Image

Our Bible tells us that we are all created in God’s own image. Quite a profound statement. I often sit for long period of time and reflect on just this very statement. Since, I am what some may call a people watcher. In this, I am saying that I like to study people wherever I go. It is fascinating to see that no two people are alike yet we are all created in Gods Own Image.

When I say I study people, I am just saying that I am amazed at how different every person on earth looks and acts. Each and everyone of us is unique and there is no one on earth just like us. I agree there are some that might be remotely similar but not just like you or me. Yet each and everyone of us is made in God’s Own Image.

All of this leads me to wonder what God will look like when someday in the future we see Him in person,in Heaven. All pictures that we see shows him as an older man with long hair and a beard. Yet I don’t have long hair and a beard! My wife doesn’t have long hair and a beard. All this leads me to ponder on what will God look like when we get there?

Trials of Being a Pastor

Being a Pastor can be the most rewarding job a person could ever be asked to preform. And at times it can be the most challenging. Which ever it is on any given day I continuously thank God for asking me to do it.

In my walk as a Pastor of a small grass roots ministry that God gave us almost 14 years ago, I have experienced extreme highs and at times extreme lows. I so much enjoy teaching people about Gods word. At first I would get frustrated, like so many Christians, when I seemingly could not get people to listen. God kept telling me to continue trying. God reminded me,and still does, that even his Son didn’t win them all.I fondly look back to my very first sermon. It was in a nursing home that my late stepmother was living in. I had so carefully written all my notes and had tried to memorize them like I had heard that all good preachers do.

Boy, was I wrong!!!! As I was getting ready to start, I walked out into the hall way, out of sight and asked God to guide my words. As I came back in and began to speak, I noticed something that I had missed earlier due to my nervousness. The miracle that God had already preformed that day! My Mother and My Stepmother sitting side by side anxious to see their son deliver his first Sermon for God. You see, they had been enemies for years yet here they sat in total peace talking to each other like old friends might do that had not seen each other for years.

One of my school teachers that I had been taught by years earlier in high school was also there. My mother and stepmother both told me later and at different times that I had been totally pale in the face before I went out into the hall to pray, but when I came back into the room that I seemed totally at peace and continued to deliver(with God’s direction) probably the best Sermon that ever came out of my mouth even in all these  thirteen plus years! Today people are fond of saying that when it comes to talking about God that you can’t shut me up.

You see, most of you like me, want to believe that God can and will do anything to help those that believe on him. But, we somehow never really make that final leap of trust. We tell ourselves that we believe but when it comes down to the final test, we as humans tend to pull back. On that day so long ago, God answered a prayer for me that I had prayed since I was a little boy. I had wanted my two families to quit arguing and fighting and dragging me into the middle of those arguments.

I had been told since I was very small that someday I would be a Minister for our Lord but I just couldn’t see how that would ever work with so much fighting and arguing going on in my life. On that day in that nursing home in Athens,Texas, God changed my life forever.Whenever he showed me that miracle, when he opened my eyes to His awesome power. I have never looked back.  Does this mean that I believe I am perfect? Not by any means. I am a work in progress. God told me to simply read the scriptures as He would reveal them to me and together we will reach hearts and mines together.

In all these years I constantly look back to that day, so long ago whenever I am having hard times in my life. I am constantly in awe at how God changes lives daily. In this ministry we have seen so many people come and go. Most times we never know in what way we might have touched someones life, or if we even did, but, God knows and this is what matters most. In some I get to see dramatic changes in a persons life. I think God must know that even a dedicated Pastor sometimes needs encouragement.

When you put your heart and soul into trying to help someone in their attempts to understand The Story of Christ and how your life can change for the better. You never give up,no matter how hard it seems at times. As a teacher and human yourself, you ask God for patience and endurance to keep trying. You ask God, is this ever going to work? What else can I do? God says stay true to our scriptures and keep trying, after all was patient with you. You wonder is this person really listening? You wonder why do they keep coming back over and over?

I have spoken with many Pastors and they have all had a person like I have been describing here. It is all part of reaching out to a troubled world. It is all in Gods Plan for His people. Then that day happens… this person comes up to you and says thank you pastor for being patient with me, thanks for not giving up on me. I think I have it now…. that person begins telling you just about every sermon and lesson they ever heard you teach! They get it! WOW!!! God has just reminded you of how patient and loving He is with each and everyone of us. If we are truly living a Godly life, we are not perfect and we will ask questions and we will call out to God with things like WHY ME LORD? It is in these times that God shines thru us. He simply wants us to accept him as our everything, our protector and Savior.

There I go preaching again. I just can’t help it. Especially when I slow down and reflect on how God allows me to be just a little part of someones life changing walk with God!!! All the hard work and determination and crying out to God and then God shows you His Love in Action.

This Pastor is going to quit rambling on and get back to praying and getting ready to preach a sermon on Christ’s Crucifixion this coming Sunday evening at 8pm eastern time. If you would ever like to join us live you can simply call in at 712 432 3900 and when prompted just type in conference number 4311673.
